Finally - Comp. Cart and Front Shelf available starting today

I will pass because I got one a lot cheaper and it looks like the stamped logo has raised the surface. I want that surface flat. The cover is going to hang up on the shelf brackets when covering the grill. The bracket design has created a rub point for the cover to end up with a rub through hole in it. Design grade D+.

Eee! $100 for a folding shelf!! I mean I get its stainless steel, but

Cart is a beast... besides it being massive what's the added value of having it? Just curious..never seen it in person

I know of no other place at this time that you can see the cart in use.

The videos show the wider base and improved stability and rigidity of the cart and the benefit and functionality of the better casters on the cart.

All 4 casters are of better quality than the base casters. All 4 casters swivel all 4 casters lock.

Ahhh gotcha! I always thought about putting on a 2nd set of swivel casters... smart move.. if I moved mine alot then I could see it being of value for me..

Its definitely really cool

Placed my order for the stampede yesterday online. Glad I checked here tonight. I just emailed the order confirmation and asked that it be added to my order.
I'm going to test their customer service.

I don't know if you are aware, but the front shelf is not standard or stock on the Rec Tec Bull either.

The front shelf for the Stampede is $99.98.

The front shelf for the Bull and the RT680, is $104.98.

That's a $5.00 difference for the shelves.

That's about right considering that one is not much wider than the other. 12x34 vs 10x 27.75

Same. I saw it on their Instagram and online. I think it makes it look cool but i don’t plan on moving it a lot so I would get no real value. However it does look cool, and with the shape of the stampede the stock legs looks like my grill works out but skips leg day.

If you won't be moving your Stampede a lot, then I wouldn't bother with the Competition cart either.

However I frequently move my smokers around on my deck. Depending upon which one or ones I'm using, I bring that one, or those ones, to the forefront.

I push them back into their places when I'm done using them.

After getting tired of lifting the "rear end" of my Stampede to "steer" it if I wanted to move it in the direction that the rear wheels point.

This is the end of the grill which is likely to have 30lbs of pellets in it. After getting tired of lifting that end which has the fixed wheels on it, and 30lbs of pellets over them, and using the front wheels, or opposite wheels to steer the grill into it's storage place or space on my deck, and doing this because not all 4 of the wheels swivel, and the front wheels which do swivel are about the size of roller blade wheels, ...I just ordered the competition cart along with the front shelf.

It was a no brainer for me and the Stampede should have come with 4 swiveling and locking casters.

For 398.98, I'm very happy with that price.

My tray and shelf will be here in a few days. They shipped today.

I'm stoked like a Rec Tec fire pot full of pellets with the dial turned up to "FUL".:D

I suspect my all weather vents will have the same issue. They are sharp.

But I haven't heard of anybody having that problem yet, or with the RT-700 shelf which is the same. I'll find out I guess. This is what I'm going to use my credit with Rec Tec on.

Personally I'm not a big fan of the competition cart, it looks nice but you lose storage.

Agree with you on the shelf likely not creating a problem for the cover.

As for the vents, I remove mine when I don't need them.

I am able to do this because I have bent the two top tabs of the all weather vents upward and leave the bottom tabs pretty much straight, or with a slight bend in them at best.

This allows me to "hook" the tabs into the grill's vent holes and they more or less hang into place.

I don't particularly like the look of the vents, so much so that I painted them matte black with grill paint. They still looked awful to me, and so I remove them unless I'm doing an overnight cook and rain is in the forecast.

Yeah, I'm not impressed with the vents, they are very cheaply constructed and fit poorly. I used RTV sealant to seal them which makes it look even worse, but my grill stays cleaner that way.

I ordered the shelf today with the store credit I had from the quality defects my grill arrived with.

Bought the front folding shelf and the concern about the rub points on the hinges is dispelled. They actually tuck nicely sort of under the the most front part of the grill lid (if that makes sense.) The raised logo is minimal, maybe a 1/8th of an inch or less. For those of us who'd rather not try a homemade mod, shelf is great. 2 thumbs up
