RecTeq turning off app remote start up feature?

I mainly use the app to turn on the grill because I can more quickly set the temp from the app and it doesn’t really make sense to hit the button on the panel then pull out my phone to set the temperature. I do keep my recteq unplugged and in a large deck box when it’s not use. When I’m getting...

Bull Flaking Paint and Rust on RT-700

Just noticed paint peeling and bubbling on the lid to my RT590. Hit up the recteq chat. They asked for a pic and after 30 seconds said they would send me a new lid. My grill is 14 months old with 78 cooks under its belt. There have been a few minor things but on the whole I’m VERY happy with my...

Trailblazer Smoke coming out of the pellet hopper

I get a bag of dusty pellets every so often. I have a mesh laundry bag I pour them into when I see that to separate the pellets from the dust then store the pellets in an airtight “Vittle Vault” container. The dust is likely to promote a back burn. Get yourself a bucket head vac and clean it...

    Foiling the Drip Pan

Grease atomizes in the air and follows the air currents under the foil unless it is well sealed. Just like it settles on the tops of your cabinets/cabinet doors in the kitchen.

    Foiling the Drip Pan

I wonder if onion juice would work like it does on the aluminum GrillGrates to build a patina or if it gets too hot for that.

    RecTeq Grill Cover (Maintenance)

I went all out for storage. It has room for my pellets and accessories. I use Vittle Vaults to store the pellets. My reqtec grill cover is folded up on the shelf behind the grill.

RT-1250 advice with new purchase - RT-1250 vs. Traeger 1300

The only thing I like about Traeger is the heavy aluminum tray liners that I co-opt for my 590 instead of using aluminum foil. Not a perfect fit but close. Wish someone made some that fit better.
