Welp, after many months of cooking on a taco, I finally pulled the trigger on a real griddle. Ordered the FTG600, should be here next week and can't wait to get cooking on it.
Anyone in the Las Vegas, NV area want 2x RT flat top griddles (FREE), come get them and they are yours.

While I do not own the Bull, I do have a Stampede and have ran all types of cooks, short high temp >500 deg. (less than 1 hour) up to 20+ hour smokes (low temp) over the course of the year + I've owned it and haven't had any issues with the igniter. I'm sure you have hit a bad luck wall on this...
Yes, if your authentication method is the same on the new as old.
Example, I used WPA-PSK on my Netgear, ASUS and now Ubiquiti, kept the same SSID and password never had to reconfigure my devices.
@Gotbbq never a foolish question when it relates to something you’re not familiar with. ?
Anyhow, when you setup the new hardware the Linksys app that is used will prompt you to name your network, this is also referred to as an SSID. The SSID is the unique identifier that your network broadcasts...
My suggestion to make the migration a little easier. When you install the new WiFi router, keep the same SSID / password combination. That way devices that are configured will simply reconnect. This is what I did when I replaced my Netgear with Ubiquiti. My 2 cents.
Also, I haven’t had to split...
Stand up guy and not many company men would have cared enough about their customers to create a video like this.
but how does one mis-calculate an anticipated 2-week shopping window of product that ran out in less than one hour, heck less than 15 minutes?... Must be that new “common core” math...
The problem I have with this and the RT griddle beyond the warping, is the less than adequate access to the rear of the griddle. The clearance from the surface to the back side doesn’t allow for easy maneuverability. I have the Stampede which is shorter in height on the inside versus the Bull...
@Master Blaster - I was an early adopter of the RT griddle accessory - https://www.rectecforum.com/threads/new-rt-product-flat-top-griddle.460/
As told in the above thread link, both the 1st griddle and replacement still warp when used. Having a "do over" I wouldn't spend the money on the...
Got a 15lb brisket ready in the fridge. ??
5.24 - just prepped the brisket for tonight t-minus 3 hours and counting before it goes on for the long cook.
5-24 - 10pm Pacific time - put in 180° smoker
5.25 - 6am PST - point 162°, flat 165° - removed to wrap in peach butcher paper and back in at...
Pretty slick update. Kicked it on remotely and almost immediately after my watched popped up a notification that the grill was preheating. My jaw dropped. Approx 20 or so minutes later another notification came on to let me know the grill hit the target temp. Bravo RT?
Bet it would make one heck of a brisket hash, brisket omlete, brisket pizza, chop it up and mix it with your favorite BBQ sauce and make brisket BBQ sandwich, maybe a brisket sloppy joe.... Brisket fajitas, just grill some peppers, onions and toss it together with some corn or flour tortillas...
