    1250 owner here. Basically trouble free since I’ve had it. Couple of minor issues, mostly due to crappy pellets. No trouble with the paint, I use for all types of food, have had it above 600 quite a few times for reversed sear steak. so far Lumber Jack pellets have worked the best in mine.

    I tried the Bear Mtn gourmet last weekend on ribs. More smoke flavor than the LJ, seem to burn very clean. Not much smoke rolling out though. Got a couple of bags to try out. If not I’ll try out Pitboss I guess.

    I used Bear Mountain gourmet blend for the first time last weekend, as RK doesn‘t carry LJ anymore. A little pronounced more smoke taste, but it hardly produced any smoke, very clean burning. Time will tell.

    This was the last steak I did, reverse sear. The temp was still going up when the steak was done. Really don’t like getting the temps that high.
