No bug up my ass at all... Just trying to point out that those who talk the loudest are not necessarily spreading the truth. They are just talking the loudest. Some people aren't open minded enough know they are mistaken.
What point are you pushing?? At 600 degrees it's still only a pellet fired convection oven! I love my 590 for low and slow cooking but it will never be a high temp meat cooking machine.
Sounds like you are doing these charity events to write off your expenses to do them. The MMSG20 will get you off to a better start stretching your expenses to the point they pop.
I cannot imagine ever burning out my 590. The hottest I'll ever cook is 335. Depending on who gets elected in November I may buy a spare fan, auger motor, probe and board.
I also have a big Weber gas grill next to the RT and also store my grates there but on the entire cooking surface. I don't use them on the pellet grill.
