    Mine was only 4 lbs

Stampede 590 Fail - again - not happy RT!

These are pretty simple to diagnose. Controller board manages temp control via auger motor fans, sensor probe and igniter. If electrical connection is good and pellet flow unblocked then you should see ignition and pellet feed by watching firebox. If that is not happening then work backwords to...

Bull Do people grill in the rain?

We just finished cooking a small delicious pork butt in pouring rain. The Bull never missed a beat in the 6 hours it was cooking. But the Bull is on our covered patio/porch.

    Matador Matador on Natural Gas

Yeah we had two of those 30lb tanks on our 15 year old RV. They were just a few months old when we sold the unit. I wish I had taken them off prior to sale. They expire at 12 years and need re certification.

    Bull Grill gasket for RT-700

Not sure why you want to seal the grill. It does just fine without it and you may end up reducing efficiency by reducing air flow. I have mine on a covered back porch and have never had a problem with getting smoked out by the grill.

    Matador Matador on Natural Gas

The wife kept bugging me to use the new Matador so I caved and bought a new Flame King 30 lb bottle from Walmart. I had a discount coupon so it only cost me about $40 delivered. They screwed up the first delivery and sent a 20lb bottle. Told me to keep it, did a store refund and sent the correct...

    Testing brisket

I'm not sure why anyone would want to take a hot brisket and refrigerate it. It's best served hot after a very short rest period. It's a mainstay here in Texas and even if you watch the cookoff competitions they don't refrigerate after cooking. Correct temp is 195-205 then let cook until tendor...

Bullseye does it do hot n fast?

I had my bullseye up to 700 degrees the other day in riot mode in 15 minutes. I"m not sure what the max temp is as I did not have time to let it go any further. But it's now my go to for fast cooks. That said I still use my gas grill for searing steaks. Has the 1300 degree ceramic burners. And I...

Bull New RT-700, massive temperature overshoot

I know Greg has mentioned that the auger motor and fan are either off or on. No speed variations. So if it's running hot too much fuel. I think Mastertech is correct. Everytime you open the lid the grill is going to try and compensate by running the auger to feed more pellets. Once they catch it...

    Bullseye Bullseye temp problems....any ideas?

Mine has a tendency to do this at startup. If I give it another 15 minutes or so it comes down to the set temp.

    Bullseye New Bullseye RT-B380 Assembly

I have the same setup. Love that heavy duty grate from Big Poppa.

    Loving my new RT-700 Bull

Looking good. Welcome to the club. I've almost transitioned off the gas grill. But it has the 1300 degree ceramic searing burners. Still my go to for steaks. Also came with a nice side burner that we use for wok style cooking.

Rec Teq 700 shipping problem / issue

I would suggest calling recteq customer service. As the shipper they can run this down for you. Service I got from Estes was very slow. They tell you what you want to hear to get you off the phone. Took a week for recteq to ship, two days for Estes to pick it up, three days from GA to delivery...

    Stampede Overheating 590

I've noticed this same behavior on the Bullseye, but 700 seems rock solid.

    Bull Bulls on Backorder

Honestly I had never heard of recteq until a co-worker mentioned the brand on a team meeting call. That started me researching pellet grills. Amazing that this thing is so accurate on holding temps. Have compared internal probe to the meat sensor probes to my MK4 meat thermometer. All spot on.
