Any way to skip leaderboard signup in app?

I’m still on the fence of buy it now for Meater probes. They seem really good. I want them for rotisserie cooks (wireless).

    First burn

I’m gonna say no. I’ve got an RT1250 so yours maybe different. I think you were on your way to your first “puff”.

Any way to skip leaderboard signup in app?

Bogus name for me did the trick on the leaderboard thing. The whole “family” experience thing is well, uh, just stop. 🤢 I want a smoker with standalone app. Don’t run it through your servers etc.

    Pork Belly Burnt Ends

That looks really good! I have a frozen full one in the freezer for a one day cook. I might need to try this. I have done slices like bacon and whole then shredded like pulled pork.

Well, I had my first one yesterday

I had an explosion on my RT1250 October 2023. Recteq service had me inspect my igniter. My unit was delivered new with the igniter recessed in by about 1/8". They had me adjust it flush. Since this explosion, I vacuum clean the fire pot before each cook and prime it with a small handful of...

Potential Problems Using RT-700 on a screened-in porch

Prior house I had a Wolf gas grille under a 9’ ceiling screened porch with fan. White ceiling showed stains and the screens were quite plugged. Not recommended.

    Sear grates opinions

Link says those are porcelain coated. Once that fails the grate fails quickly. My Wolf gas grille had porcelain coated iron grates that were great for 3-5 years then failed miserably fast.

    recteq grills uncovered

I had similar happen on my RT1250. Intense smoke just like that and then BOOM! Lid flew up and it blew the door open on the smoke box and failed the top hinge weld. Recteq had me send them pictures of my igniter and they had me readjust it. Also they sent me a replacement smoke box. I have Lava...

So did I make a bad decision ?

Interesting - In my naivety, I thought the App and grill were just reacting to each other. Never thought that all of it went back to the mother ship for decisions to then respond. I want to get a probe set for my other grills and rotisserie. Been thinking about the Meater but not ready to...
