Ya, I’ll probably wind up sanding and painting it. Just very frustrated at having to do this with a $1100 grill less than 3 hrs old.

It’s 2 1/2 years old. Ya, it’s just going to just be a cosmetic issue. I store my grill in my garage to keep it in great condition and just a bit disappointed in the paint quality.

Couple questions….1) having it that close to a chimney, does it lose effectiveness? I am considering adding a longer pipe inside to get it close to the center. 2) do you use chunks, chips, or something else in the smoke daddy?

Anyone else have an issue with the paint on the lid peeling? I contacted Customer Support and they offered to send “touch up” paint. My issue is that the “paint” is more like a film and not sure how to get it to cover without leaving loose edges on the peeling paint. I brought that up to CS and...

I've heard people mention the initial burn/seasoning and say to do the "bacon method". What is that?
