I have had mine for a few weeks now and could not go back. One of the better purchases for sure. We have virtually eliminated ziplock bags and use it for everything. Purchased bags in bulk and it is now pennies per bag.
Haha - this is a good thread. There are two camps, the Cadillac camp and the Yugo camp (or should I say RecTeq camp and Traeger camp). Both camps have good points.
I like Cadillacs...
Haha - I was afraid of this.
Keep in mind these are my express opinions derived from my experiences - I know less than most and half as much as some!
I have had my share of Foodsavers Costco etc. Under regular use they dont last, are generally not rebuildable and the bags are very expensive...
Just finished doing extensive research on vacuum sealers.
How much you use the unit and the volume you process has a lot to do with the unit you purchase. As does the amount of time you store food in the freezer.
I have owned many and am tired of poor performance and short shelf life.
After enough information gathered, I pulled the trigger on a complete setup.
LEM #22 1hp grinder w/foot pedal
LEM 25# tilt mixer
LEM meat scale
LEM MAX 1000 vacuum sealer
Meat lugs
Hakka verticle sausage stuffer
