If you put a VOM on it, let us know what the resistance is. I'm assuming it's a platinum resistor. With it having appliance lugs, would be easy to adapt an aftermarket probe.
No shortie for me, even though they told me it would be delivered on one. Had to drive 20 minutes one way to meet the semi truck and off load to my truck. Installed lava lock on the lids for grill and hopper. Going to burn in tomorrow morning and cook later on.
It's a good looking smoker...
I went ahead and scheduled Thursday, but going to call tomorrow and see what my options are. It is southeastern, so hopefully they have a shortie available.

Chicken wings using Malcolm Reeds marinade recipe with slap yo mama sauce. Cooking on the Kamado this time though, the 1100 should arrive in a week or two.
Roll Tide!
I just ordered my 1100 last night and clearing out a space in front of my basement rollup door. Anyway you can tell me the front to back dimension for the 1100, I can't find this measurement published anywhere?
Thanks!
New to this forum so my search skills may be lacking, but couldn't find an answer....
Does the lava lock affix to the lid or around the cavity opening? Probably doesn't matter which way it's affixed, but maybe someone has some operating experience why one would be preferred over the other. I...
