    I don’t want the hassle of plugging and unplugging; mine stays plugged in 100%. HOWEVER 1). If you can turn it on via your phone via WiFi so can a hacker 2). Lightning or other surge could take it out I installed a simple toggle switch which allows me to leave it plugged in but truly OFF.

    I put a toggle switch on mine. My primary motivation was someone hacking it and turning it on. Bonus; an old fashioned switch is an excellent surge protector. I used DPDT to disconnect hot and neutral.

    Has anybody put a power switch on their grill?? I have quality weather boxes on my outlet and plan to leave the grill plugged in all the time. HOWEVER, I would prefer it not actually be powered up 100% of the time. I am NOT asking about the wiring schematic, thats pretty straightforward...
