I have a five year old RT700 and have not had any issues and love it. Over the last few years I’m seeing more negative feedback on the Bull. My personal opinion is the quality of China has gone down hill since Covid. I don’t believe RT is getting the same quality as it was pre Covid. With all...
One other comment. I think the quality coming from China in the last two to three year is declining with Covid and declining US China relationship. ReqTec would be doing themself a big upgrade if they started US manufacturing using US stainless steel. IMO
My Bull is almost 4 years old and doesn’t look any where near as bad as yours. But then I clean my grill often (409 cleaner) and keep cover on it when not using. How often do you clean yours and is it covered when not in use?
If you have an ACE Hardware near by, check them out. My local ACE started stocking a boat load of most all the rubs and spices that I use to order online. They also sell many of the top brand BBQ grills like Big Green Egg, Weber, Traeger.
Have not but I do use Lumber Jacks Char Hickory. You get some smoke /charcoal favor but not like charcoal in the Weber. I guess you could say it better than the normal hardwood pellets.
I have a bullseye and it does (did) low and slow. I cooked a 12lb pork butt on 250F for 18 hrs with lumberjack char hickory pellets to 300F take off temp. The whole table of family said it was the best pulled pork they ever had. 18 hrs with one full bin of pellets without refill. Also did...
FYI all RecTec grills are made in China but made out of stainless steel. I don’t like it but quality has been good with the grills I have. (700bull, 380bullseye). I totally agree RecTec needs to bring manufacturing back to USA. They’ll be sorry if they don’t with what the future holds.
My 2 cents. The 700 Bull pairs best with the Bulls Eye 380. I use Char Hickory Lumberjack pellets in the 380 to get next best to charcoal grilling. I have a Weber to and use its grate combo for both Weber and Bulls Eye
I use a Weber grill grate with cast iron inserts in my bullseye. It covers everything from steaks to bacon. Use Lumberjack Char Hickory pellets only to get as close to charcoal as possible. for larger cooks I use my Blackstone.
Damn- looks like Evans 3 day is already sold out when I go to purchase ticket. Only one day event has openings. To far for me to go from WI for just one day. Recently retired and this would have been a good retirement trip for me. Will have to wait for next one.
When I received my RT700 it was packaged and protected fairly well. Just a few nicks and blemishes which I believe happened before it was packaged. I did not know when I bought mine that it was made in China. I'm a huge Made In The USA guy and was disappointed when I saw that Made In China...
I just got my Bull and added the cover. I wanted the sear kit and small interior shelf but both were out of stock. Does anyone know when they will be in stock again?
