    Show us what you're cooking...

Merry Christmas all. Dinner at our house was garlic herbed butter slathered prime rib. RT700 at 250’ for about 3.5hrs, then seer on the griddle flat top, rest about 30-45mins. Love the Bull - set it and forget. This came out amazing.

    Bull Pellet Dust Everywhere!

That is a lot more than I’ve ever seen in mine. Which pellets are you using?

    Stampede Help Again

You’ll be fine. Just leave it wrapped in the cooler. I guaranty it will be still too hot to touch at 1030/1045 when you pull it to eat at 11.

What are your favorite pellets and why?

Depending where you are in Canada, good quality pellets can be hard to find. For me Lumberjack supreme blend and I am really liking the char-hickory. I also really like PitmastersChoice Pellets which are Canadian company and a little more accessible. Pretty much in Canada only choice most...

    Bull Pellet Dust Everywhere!

I have used pretty much only LJ pellets and always had a bit of ash on the edges where grates rest, the PID, and the drip pan ledge it rests on. Heard same things about leaving the ash in the barrel to reduce the flying around so that’s what I have done. I haven’t ever given much worry to the...

    Stampede Auger Tube Clogged

There are a number of YouTube videos out there for clearing the auger tube on RTs. It is a DIY for sure but I wouldn’t say I’d want to do it very often. Myself, I’ve had one auger jam and was able to clear it with shop vac. I picked up some micro accessory attachments from HD and worked like a...

Give CS a call to place your order. As a loyal customer upgrading, I bet they will give you a discount of some sort on any accessories you add to your grill upgrade. Agree with everyone above on the comp cart if you’re moving it around. Agree with the others about ordering now if you want to...

Seeing and confirmed on Recteq website that they are no longer shipping to Canada. Glad I’ve got mine but too bad for others. Anyone have info as to why and hoping they will still support with parts if any issues arise?

Bull Repurpose of RT-700 Stock Legs?

Here’s mine. I did scoop up an additional bottom shelf. Rest is scrap wood and some wire shelving that was kicking around the garage.

App Set Temp vs. Controller Set Temp problem

I double check and can only set temp probes alarm, not the pit temp. There are automatic push notifications for pit temp reached and/or deviations. So that technically is an alarm I suppose.

    Shelf Life of Rubs?

Good point on the humidity. I think depends on the proportions of Brown sugar to salt. Mostly brown sugar the issue is dehydration —> use the clay to add humidity & rehydrate the brown sugar. Mostly salt the issue is moisture absorption—> use the rice to dehydrate the salt.

    Shelf Life of Rubs?

My grandma’s trick to keeping brown sugar (common ingredient in most rubs) from hardening is soaking a piece of clay (like a gardening red clay pot type). Soak piece in water for 10-15mins then wrap in parchment. Small piece to fit in a shaker bottle likely doesn’t need this long of a soak. Put...

    Transporting the RT700

Loading the RT700 into pick up taking to the cottage for rest of summer. Should I vacuum ash out the barrel of and pellet hopper? Planning to tie the lids down tight. Anyone with experience transporting I appreciate your pro tips.
