Been there, done that.
Sorry for your troubles but chit will happen.
I used vice grips originally on my stuck auger going back and forth until I got it loosened.
If you use a 1/2" drill in reverse, it should come out but the vice grips worked for me.

Good morning, friends.
You guys think it would be prudent to spray some Scotchguard Water & Sun Seal on the factory cover?
Would you think it would damage the cover at all?
Y'all have a great day!
Update:
The 590 is back in action!
I got the auger out by hitting the fire pot end of it with a cats paw a few times to loosen it up.
After that, I used a pair of needle nose vise grips to back the auger out counter clockwise. Then, I used the old auger on the end of a drill to clean out the...
Now, that's what I'm talking about. Thanks for the info.

I've always had it covered with the factory cover and always do the cool down mode.
If I'm able to get it fixed, I will not be leaving any pellets inside the...
As you all know, I have a massive jam in my 590.
Worked this weekend trying to free up the jam using Recteq video on the Tube.
Was using a claw hammer to try and coax the auger out and the shaft snapped on the motor.
This thing is jammed like no other I've seen. The white bushing will not...
Got all the pellets cleared and as much of the jam as I could.
I can hear the auger motor trying to turn, so that's good news.??
Do you (OP)/they have any tutorials or suggestions on getting it (auger) out with ease?
I'm not afraid to tear it apart, just want to have an idea what I should be...
I live in Charleston S.C. where the humidity is unbearable at times.
I keep it covered with a Rec Tec cover.
Cleared out all the pellets and as much of the jammed debris as possible. Still a no go.
Gonna have to take the auger out. I can hear it trying to turn but the jam is massive.
I think...
