    Bull slow cook the searing

I cooked thick pork chops on low setting, at about 125 degrees I pulled off. I covered them and kicked up grill to 500. at about 425 I put on sear plate and finished. I was wondering if you can leave them on the grill until you reach searing temp then throw on searing plates?. Also I want to do...

    yet another service post

I've had my RT 700 for about a week. I had a few minor problems. I've had nothing but excellent support from Recteq. I've called them maybe six times and they bent over backwards to satisfy me. Some of the best support I've ever had from a company so far. They have always been friendly and said...

    Bull chicken legs and thighs

My first cook on my 700. going to try cooking at 275 then after a hour or so kick up to 425. Wondering if when I cook if you wait for temp before putting on chicken. was wondering if putting on food as 700 gets to cooking temp will provide more smoke rather than waiting to get to 275

    Bull hopper lid

Has anyone have a problem with the hopper lid not closing all the way down on one side? I tried bending it some but didn't help. Recteq said they would send another one but I'm trying to prevent that. Not sure if its the lid or where it connects.

    Bull lid seal

Waiting on my bull and was wanting to put a seal on door before I used it. Talked wit Recteq and they absolutely advised against it. Something about it will eventually mess up the computer temps after using it awhile by restricting the smoke escape through the vent.

I own a 22in WSM, a Weber charcoal grill and a Weber Genesis gas Grill. I've decided to get a pelet grill. After research I'm going with a RT 700. I ordered a cover, pelet bundle and sear plate. I'm hoping the sear plate works, if not I have my gas grill to sear. I didn't order the front shelf...
