    Can anybody give advice on sealing the lid of the 1250 with a neoprene gasket? I noticed that a lot of smoke permeates it when you cook low and slow. And are there any drawbacks to using an adhesive gasket?

    I will be smoking a 12 pound brisket on my recteq 1250. Where do you recommend I place it for the duration of the smoke? I believe if I place it right in the middle it will cook unevenly since the burner is located there.

    I recently purchased the rec tech 1250 and absolutely love it. I also purchased the custom cover for it. I have had a lot of difficulty putting the cover back on without tearing the corners. I’ve been utilizing a helper and it’s still does not help to make it easier to put on. is anybody else...

    Hi guys. I’m interested in buying the rec tech 1250. Just double checking that it’s large enough to accommodate a pig for a smoke. Would anybody know the maximum weight or size that I could cook ?
