Burn pot improvement

I removed the burn pot to adjust the hot rod on my 2 month old 590.

What I learned:
The (four) bolt heads are 10 mm.

The rod lock set screws have a 2.5 mm head.
I was surprised the set screws and bolts all had anti-seize applied and came apart very easily.
I reapplied more anti seize before
Reassembly.

Before and after hot rod adjustment.

Before:
15 minutes plus until white smoke appeared, then a significant temp overshoot (from additional pellet prime.

After:
adjusting rod outward.
White smoke in a minute or less.

This seems to be the sweet spot.

Mine is adjusted perfectly flush with the tube exit, wouldn't want it protruding like that.......ignites very quickly now, much quicker than before adjustment.

Yup, was enough to cause a delay and plenty of smoke on start up.......now it's quick and little smoke occurs. If you are careful cleaning out the pot you should be fine, and if it's now working as you had hoped........leave it be.
