This is on RecTec's site, and I believe the number came off the paper work I received with them.. not saying it's true. Don't think I kept that paper though. Atleast they do make marks!... I'm going to flip them to the flatside and try a pizza I think.

I see that on the RECTEC site (https://www.rectecgrills.com/sear-kit-bull-stampede/)- I would like to know exactly they can increase temperature surface temp without any other heat source?
Radiant heat is just that - radiant. For the record, I use a set of grill grates that I had from from my RT-680 and love the grill marks and the pizza is awesome.

I will do a side by side comparisons of RT-700 internal surface temperature to Grill Gates. I do find it interesting that grill gates do not make that same claim of increasing temperature.
