I've had my RT-700 for about 2 weeks and noticed that the lid does not fit "tight" when closed, especially on the sides, middle of the bottom, and middle of the top. She holds the temp just fine, but smoke does seep out of these areas. Is this "normal" or should I contact customer support?

Thanks for the welcome. I contacted RECTEC via their website and received a response within minutes. They said the lid was not designed to be “air tight” (which I knew), but asked me to send them any pics and/or vids that might further explain my issue. I sent them the above pics and 2 short vids I took. Their response...”yeah that’s a bit much. New one (lid) headed your way!” Had an order number and tracking number about a hour later. These guys are awesome!!!
The customer service from Rec Tec is like nothing else I've seen before.
