Is it wrong to have smoker meat with a side of...smoker meat for dinner?.?

No and certainly never wrong when the side is bacon.

Or maybe the bacon was the main course meal.

Buckeye, we are usually on the same wave length, but I am not sure what your ask is? I am pretty sure bacon is THE side for everything. Have I been wrong all these years? That dish looks perfectly fine to me. That green or healthy stuff belongs on a completely different plate and sometimes in a different room. I think that is why they call it a salad plate. There is no such thing as a bacon plate, as the bacon belongs right where it should be.....on the main plate.
