Shutdown cycle

Do you leave the lid open or closed during the shutdown cycle or while the fan is on, or does it matter?

Doesn't matter... but if you want it to cool faster, leave it open.

I've typically leave mine open as well.

I am not sure it matters, I always go through the cool down with the lid closed. I will say, if I do a high heat cook, I will lower the temp on the controller for a few minutes to let the temp come down before hitting the off button which starts the cool down.

Fan runs for 5 minutes i believe to burn off excess pellets then prime. If i want to cover sooner rather then later i open the lid, if i dont care or will be using later in the day i just leave closed until i need to fire it back up.
