After several calls with recteq they sent me a new controller that allows my to reduce the feed rate, everything seems to working now. Apparently the BFG has had issues due to its mass and size in hot climates.
My BFG-2500 is starting to make a dirty sooty. The walls and grates are covered with soot. I cleaned to the fire pot (not very dirty) didn't resolve issue, using the same pellets. What should I be looking. I do live in the desert and its well over 100' degrees
out.
I was asked to cook 10 full Prime Rib Roast (boneless). Can the BFG handle it? I am thinking they should fit. I am thinking of cutting them in half and tied. Has anyone tried to cook this much Prime Rib? If so any helpful suggestions would greatly appreciated.
