For Sale SOLD Rec Tec Stampede RT-590 with Comp Cart, Shelf, Pellets, and Cover

Wow I’m an idiot. $1200 with all the pellets. It’s about $500 less than it would be new. I got it in September and it’s only had about 100lbs of pellets burned

For Sale SOLD Rec Tec Stampede RT-590 with Comp Cart, Shelf, Pellets, and Cover

With a heavy heart i'm listing my Stampede. It has all the goodies, Competition Cart, Shelf, a Generic Pellet Grill cover, and 520lbs of Lumberjack Pellets. I really do enjoy cooking on this thing but I've found that I use my Kamado so much more, that I just can't justify having both. It's...

    Stampede How to reach 500*?

This is honestly one of the reason's i love the stampede as a smoker but really don't use it for anything over 400 because it takes so much time to get it there. It's great for holding low and slow but honestly for medium to high heat it's better to have an additional grill. I like having the...

    Pellets, Pellets, Pellets

My buddies and I from work split a pallet of lumberjack pellets from Lumberjack and paid less than $15 for a 40# bag. We got to choose what all woods and blends we wanted. hardest part is finding where I'm going to put 15 bags of pellets.

    Stampede Considering the RT-590

I use a Kamado as well as the 590. You lose the smoke towards the end of the smoke with a Kamado because the smoking wood gets burned then you go into clean smoke as the fire builds. The 590 actaully has less of a smoke profile than the Kamado from my experience. However, you really don't add...

Pork Butt - Too Foil or not to foil?

I never wrap a butt. I wouldn't risk what you'd lose in the bark.

Stampede First brisket on the stampede

Honestly, you can't really compare them. They both make great bbq but where the Rec Tec shines to me is the convenience when it comes to smoking meat. Just having the ability to turn it on from my app and have it ready by the time the meat is ready to go on, put the temp probes in, and going to...

Stampede First brisket on the stampede

Brisket turned out great. I think it has a little less smoke profile than the KJ but just as good flavor of not better.

Stampede First brisket on the stampede

I’ve done 3 or 4 briskets on my Kamado Joe classic 2 but tonight I’ll start my first on the Stampede! I’ll preface with brisket is my least favorite smoked meat. I’ve had Aaron Franklin, John Lewis, and several of my own but I typically would prefer pork and chicken over brisket. However it’s...

    New from Seattle!

Yep it’s a covered screened porch. Never had any issues with the vinyl on the porch ceiling. I’ve had my Kamado Joe over 900 for about an hour without issue.

Getting the timing right for a party... (Long smoke tricks and tips)

I don't water pan, using a stick burner I would, but i've never used one for a Kamado or Pellet. I think i read somewhere that it doesn't really add anything and if anything statistically it would just make the smoke take longer than it would have otherwise. I think because water boils at 212...

    New from Seattle!

Welcome Paul, I keep my smoker on the back of my screen porch furthest from the house. Not for heat just because it's where I have the most room. I have no worries about leaving it unattended. I'll add that I also leave my Kamado Joe when doing low and slow as well.
