    Bull Issues connecting to WiFi

My signal kept dropping when I first got the grill. I use my grill in the driveway just outside my garage. If I wheeled the grill up next to the door into the mudroom/house I could stay connected (but obviously this was no good for cooking). When I moved the grill out to the driveway, the signal...

    Bull Wonky tires and wheels

Thanks @mooncusser2k . I ordered two of the Steelex casters. Did the 4" caster change the "stance" of the grill? I was just thinking about that this morning and wondering if the new casters would raise or lower that end of the grill.

    Bull Wonky tires and wheels

Anyone determine the exact cause of this issue? Is it just cheap casters that bend from the weight of the grill when its moved? My Bull is stored in my garage. I wheel it out every time I use it. Started having problems with the one caster about a month ago. Starting to look like the one in the...

    My 590 sucks!

I had Wi-Fi issues when I first got my 700. It would connect and then drop. My grill is kept in my garage. If I wheeled the grill over in front of the door into the house I could connect and hold a signal. Only problem was that I couldn't cook there. I spoke to Zach and he recommended a range...

    Beef Rib Lifter Meat

Was going to ask the same question for the same reason!:) Wooden skewers in a pineapple bottom isn't the best option.

Bull 700 not reaching max temperature anymore

I threw on a small brisket flat this morning and checked the probe. Its standing nice and straight. What I did notice is that it had a pretty good coating of the black stuff that covers the inside of the grill. I cleaned it up and got it back to mostly silver again.

Bull 700 not reaching max temperature anymore

Definitely for reverse searing steaks, smash burgers, crispy spatchcock chicken skin on the flat side of the sear grates, skirt steak...... I know there isn't one grill/smoker that can do it all but I parked the gas grill at the curb in the spring and have been pretty happy with my high temp...

Bull 700 not reaching max temperature anymore

How much does pellet type play into temperature? I’ve only used Cookin Pellets in my 700. I’ve done a lot of slow cooks but also a fair number of crank it as high as it goes and exceeded 500 with ease. I can’t seem to get the grill up to 500 anymore. Almost an hour last night to get to 450. I...

    Power Cord Storage

On the 700, I drape the cord over the top of the hopper and feed the plug through the loop handle on the hopper lid. I roll my grill in and out the garage for every cook. This method keeps the cord off the ground and out of the way when moving the grill.

    Warped Deflector Shield

Was cleaning my 700 this evening I noticed my deflector is warped. My grill is 3 months old and assume it has the new improved deflector. When my deflector is on a flat surface the one corner is 5/8” or so out of wack. I’ve probably done a dozen or more high temperature cooks and countless long...

Poultry Lunch Break Episode 35: Honey Sriracha Chicken Recipe

Pretty successful dinner in my eyes. Wife not crazy about dark meat, spice or rubber skin so I knew this was going to be a challenge. I don’t have Heffer Dust that was referenced in the video but based on a comment in the video I made my own rub from 1/2 tbs kosher salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1 tsp...

Poultry Lunch Break Episode 35: Honey Sriracha Chicken Recipe

I stumbled across this thread and then watched the video. Sounded interesting and I also couldn't find the recipe that they were using but I did find this one. Honey Sriracha Chicken I'm going to make it this afternoon and will let you know how it turns out.

    Bacon First

I made the same bacon a few weeks ago and really like the results. Like your's my edges got a little dark from the maple syrup. Doesn't fry up quite as crisp as commercial bacon which is fine with me but my wife and son like their bacon a little firmer.

    Ground Chuck Roast

I was grinding my own burger when we were on lock down. Couldn't get hamburger so I decided to grind my own. I too went for a chuck roast and the results were very good. So much so that the family kind of frowns upon the packaged ground beef from the store. Don't usually have time to grind...

    Sous Vide

Any forum members out there own a sous vide immersion circulator. I’ve toyed with the idea of buying one for a year or two but couldn’t justify the $200 price tag while wondering how much I would really use it. There’s a lot more competition and prices have come down but are the low price units...

Stampede Drilling sidewall for Second Shelf

You’ll find that the stainless used in the grills is magnetic. I have a 6” level stuck to the hopper lid on my 700 that I use to level the grill on my uneven driveway. Will stay stuck even when I lift the lid to fill it.

Stampede GMG Green Mountain Pizza Oven Attachment for Rec Tec Stampede RT-590

What temp are you cooking at and how does your crust turn out? I've got a steel and two stones and I'm always searching for that crispy crust. Only been using store bought frozen dough because I still can't get yeast at my local grocery stores. My attempts so far have been all high temperature...

Stampede Rec Tec 590 grease draining wrong way.

Last weekend I made a brisket. Before I started I cleaned my grill and foiled the drip pan. When I replaced the drip pan I didn't have it setting up on the ledge on the left side of the grill. Fortunately, my grease still drained to the right due to the slope of my driveway. I caught my error...
