(soon to be) New RT-590 owner

Greetings y'all! Waiting on Estes oops to deliver my new 590. Pinpoint delivery estimate is anywhere from today through Monday... I just read more of the new owner posts today. Hope I get the good delivery! I've had an offset stick burner since the mid 90s. I got to the point on Thanksgiving day, as I was standing in the rain, trying to keep the temp between 100 and 350, that it was time to make the switch. Looking forward to using it a lot and to getting lots of good info from this forum. I have my shelf brackets and smoke tube ready to go! No shelf but haven't been to Home Depot yet...

I'm sure there are more good delivery stories than bad. Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new RT590. I moved from a stick burner as well and will not go back, no regrets at all.

Happy to report that the 590 has landed and is on my back porch, partially unboxed and it looks good so far. Don't have time to assemble until Friday evening or Saturday. Hope to be cooking by Saturday evening!
