    Thanks, I have a lab calibrated (I work in a lab) thermocouple that I'll put in the middle on something (so no conductive heat) and adjust from there. Simple.

    Anyone have a method for calibrating the internet temp probe? It's not like you can submerge it into a pan of boiling water.. the cord seems too short.

    Water pan

    Apparently, Im an outlier here. I NOW use a water pan. Always. Tried without, using wrapping etc, but with it, I found my bark stays way more moist. Never even though about holding temps. It does that ok without water. FWIW.

    Any Updates on Temp Alarms?

    I did just get an updated IOS app thats in beta. Many improvements here.. Looks the same but alarms are smarter. Like 1 alarm that says "Grill heating to 225, We'll let you know when it gets there". Instead of 50 being that the grill is more than 20 degrees off of set point. Good progress!

    I tried adding a water pan once. Now I ALWAYS put a small water pan in. Nothing comes out dry anymore. :)

    My theory, when you buy "premium" you expect premium. If I bought a car with scratches, it would need to be fixed. If I bought a $1500 guitar with scratches, it goes back. While I bought mine and it arrived in perfect shape (not the box) the alarms still don't work. Not real happy there...

    Although my alarms dont work, the wifi always has. Just cant use a combined SSID that is 5ghz and 2.4ghz. Must separate them out.
