I spoke to Rec Tec and they had a good trick to help. I lowered the minimum feed rate for the auger which helped. They also suggested to use a dime sized ball of tin foil to prop the lid open enough for temps to come down but not trigger the RTD probe.
I seem to be having issues with the recovery of my temps after opening the Bull. I’m currently cooking a 3-2-1 on some spare ribs and I’m watching the temps of the Bull and it’s been 42 minutes since the “3” of the 3-2-1 method and the Bull temp is actually climbing :( it’s been set at 225 and...

I used Heffer Dust, Honey Rib Rub, and the comp blend. Can't comment on the Holy Cow rub. But the three rubs I did use I liked them all. I'm a little partial to the Heffer Dust. It's sooooo good!
Had my first BBQ this past weekend with the Rec Tec. I had somewhere between 30-40 people over and the Rec Tec didn't let me down! My guests were complimenting the quality of the food as well as the looks of the grill and had all kinds of questions about it. I did two 9# shoulders two...
I think most have been through this very same debate, myself included. I actually ordered a Stampede but called Rec Tec and spoke to their customer service and changed to a Bull before they had shipped the Stampede. You can see my thread on this Just clicked buy on a new Stampede should I have...
