Stampede Chicken legs

Did these on Mothers Day last year. A little work but tasty!

Looks really good. Unfortunately I would be the only one eating them. Rest of the family would turn their noses up at them. Dang kids are way too picky.

Why do they always say to use Apple wood on these. I've tried them on chicken and pork and wasn't impressed, absolutely no flavor in my opinion. I guess that is the cajun wanna-be in me coming out. I don't want it to be subtle. I've gotten to where I use hickory the majority of the time now.

I don't know I used hickory blend and did not cut leg meat down to much work and they tasted really good
