Bull First time smoking pork belly

How was the texture of the meat?
Very meaty and full of flavor, both from the smoke (notice the large smoke ring) and the pork belly itself. Each layer has a unique flavor which together makes an amazing taste.

Did you slice or pull?
Always sliced. :)

Did the fat render out completely?
I think so. It cooked for a very long time.

Picture below is the full meal. We had a cucumber salad to start while it rested, and my wife traditionally ate pickled cabbage as a child to balance out strong meat flavors, hence the sauerkraut.

Thank you. It was amazing. Pork belly is one of my favorite meats, so I was glad to finally being able to smoke it. Fortunately it turned out great on the first try.
