If that is vinyl siding behind your bull you might want to check to see how hot it gets back there!
mmmm bacon!
With the hopper as a shield it does not get very hot at all. But if I am going to have really high temps I move it out about a foot further. Mmm bacon!
 
Had my local store order me two Berkshire butts a while back from I think Red Top Farms out of Missouri. Really good pork. Out of 17 pounds while shredding I only threw one tiny scrap
away.
Now you have to wait and wait and wait and.....
 
Hey Brian....looks like you mastered bacon on the pit. Now it is time to take it up a notch with a version of "pig candy". Sliced bacon, a mixture of your favorite all purpose BBQ rub and brown sugar. Apply rub mixture to both sides of bacon and cook as you would nekkid. Hmm Hmm good.
