Stampede Reaches set temp then cools down

I have a 590 about 5 years old. Recently (after the last software update) the smoker heats up normally but once it reaches the set temperature it immediately starts to cool down. Everything looks clean and the feeder is fine so I don’t know what could cause it.
I have tried turning it off then back on but it doesn’t help. I have to raise temperature a few time and keep resetting it and after about 4 times it will finally hold temp.
Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

Whenever mine has done that it has been pellet bridging. You can also check to make sure your RTD probe isn’t bent. If it gets too close to the barrel it will give a false reading as the metal heats up. Lastly Recteq customer service can help you troubleshoot.

I’d see about reloading the update if that is really when the issue started. Remove and reload the app, something like that.
