I did see that also, but then some of the reviews on amazon said that it warps also!

Perhaps the extra metal on the Heavy-D gives it some extra rigidity so it won’t warp, but I’d be surprised if the SD OEM replacement diffuser would warp. It’s really built out of thick steel. SD mentions a couple of times on the product page that it will not warp. If you are interested in it if it doesn’t warp, might be worth giving SD a call and see if they guarantee it won’t warp.

Recteq sent me a replacement and it is even more warped than the first one. In fact it is only about 1/2" and it will start to push up the drip pan.
Note I do like cook steaks at a high temp.
