    Bull No connectivity

You have to connect to a 2.4 ghz network. The simplest way is to have 2 separate SSID for your network. For example Jsmith2.4 & JSmith5.8. Then when trying to connect your grill, connect only to the 2.4 network. It can be done, but it wasn’t easy. I’m technical guy and it took me about an hour...

    Bull Drumstick Ideas?

Our daughter is looking for chicken drummies - what glaze are you using? Olive oil? BBQ sauce? Something else? I’m liking the 275 then up to 350. Did you let yours rest 10 minutes or so after?

    Bull Meat probe replacements

I noticed the other day they had the probes listed for $10/pop on their site now https://www.rectecgrills.com/rec-tec-controller-meat-probe/

I got mine ~3 weeks ago and mine are straight down as well. I’ve already completed the wheel mod that @Mike suggested.

How do you clean your grates?

Awesome @evrydayzawrkday - Here is another solution I never even considered or was aware of. At $10 for 4 stones, this is a no brainer. Cheaper than a wooden scraper or the cost of a entry level grill brush, but no risk of bristles in your food. I'm gonna give it a shot! I'll probably even...

How do you clean your grates?

Did you switch to the wood scraper? If so, do you like it? I'm looking at getting one myself. I've been a user of the Weber Grill Brush for years on my gas and charcoal grills and found it effective, although needs frequent replacing and it isn't immune to the bristle problem. This is the...

    Pellet Storage Containers

I recently purchased my Bull RT-700 grill. I ended up ordering my initial pellets directly from Amazon. I got the 40 pound bag of Rectec Ultimate Blend & multiple 20 pound bags of Traeger flavored pellets. With 100 pounds of pellets on hand, I had to come up with a way to store them. I live...

Bull Bull Temperature Probes Testing and Unit Calibration

Mine was off by 8% points, OOTB. Set point 300, grill internal probe read 300, already properly calibrated probes read 275 after 1 hour. I adjusted “-8” and let it warm up 20 more minutes and then I had everything read the desired 300. I found my meat probes to only be a couple degrees off but...

Bull Bull Temperature Probes Testing and Unit Calibration

@Brickhouse nice write up, thanks. I’ve already calibrated my meat probes and I intend to calibrate the internal barrel probe tonight. I’m curious though, wouldn’t you need to adjust the calibration to “-6”? It gets a bit confusing because it seems like the meat probes are calibrated in...

How to do the Rec Tec wheel mod

@Mike did you leave the nut on the new 5” swivel casters? I’m attempting this mod OOTB, (a must as others have indicated) and I’m trying to get the grill to sit perfectly level from the grill grate. It’s very close, although I feel like being able to screw the caster stud a bit further up into...

    Rec Tec Wifi setup tips

This worked perfectly for me. For those who are having difficulty finding where to turn off the 5ghz band broadcast, it is located at: Advanced Setup>Wireless Settings>Advanced Wireless Settings>uncheck enable 5GHz SSID broadcast I had to dig around a bit to find where to disable. Thanks @msarro
