Apparently you haven’t read the threads very closely. Few of us waited patiently. As like all of you, i am patiently waiting on my bull to come in the mail!!! Cant wait to fire it up!
I was checking about every houri drove 2hrs each way to skip free shipping! well worth it, i would have checked tracking 5 times a day
My bull is sitting at the local Estes terminal....no delivery scheduled as of yet. Estes said not to call until the 23rd if a delivery has not been scheduled.
I’m waiting as well. 14 days and counting…Ours has been at the local terminal (Minneapolis) for a week now. When I called Estes, they claimed that they didn’t have any paperwork from Recteq. I waited a few days after that to give them some time, and then I called Estes back. They told me the same thing. I then called Recteq to see if what Estes was saying was accurate. They apologized profusely, which I’m not even sure was necessary, and told me that they would have their shipping department get on that right away. I received an email from a Recteq shipping specialist today stating that all of the paperwork was sent, and I should be hearing from an Estes scheduler soon. We shall see. Maybe our Bull is just chillin’ at the Mall of America, like most newcomers hereWell, called today and talked to the local folks. Was NOT impressed. Estes sent me a "how likely are you to refer people to our company" and I marked zero. They then sent me an email and asked me to explain, and I did - in detail.
30 minutes later I get a call that it's going to be delivered tomorrow. All in all, it will be 13 days from ordering which isn't too bad, but their guestimator was originally saying the 18th, then the 19th, then the 20th, etc.
Guess now I'll just have to wait and see if it looks like it went through a war zone on arrival.
The guy that delivered mine a few weeks ago said mine was the 4th Recteq he had delivered in my area that week. You won't believe this, but I went outside to put the cover on my Traeger, and my next door neighbor was in her back yard and she said "hey, we're getting the same grill you are!"
I replied, this one? She said no, the new one.
I asked her how she would have known that I was getting a new grill, and she said the delivery guy told her he was delivering the same grill to the house next door tomorrow. The neighbors on the other side of her had just bought a new stick burner, so she knew it was me.
The delivery guy did tell me that they had a couple of deliveries in the area, so they'd be here early.
Apparently, we both ordered 700s within a day of each other and they are both being delivered in the morning.
Weird or what?
Sounds like a herd to me.The guy that delivered mine a few weeks ago said mine was the 4th Recteq he had delivered in my area that week.
Thanks, I'm definitely anxious to get it but honestly I spent so much time thinking and researching another couple weeks isn't going to kill me (I say that after waiting only 12 hours before asking when TF it's going to get here). Glad I found the forum. This will be a fun place to both anticipate and work through the meat sweats.@Noreaster a week or two is about right depending on where you are located. If you have patience you’ll be fine. Most of us have been like a kid at Christmas which makes the wait a little agonizing. Makes for great stories later.
Occasionally the grill gets delivered to the trucking yard then sits there for awhile while the last mile delivery gets set up. Mine got scheduled and delayed three times before I decided to go pick it up instead. Any frustration disappeared for me (and most others) once the grill was up and running.
You made a great choice on the grill and will love it…once it shows up .
