Ken I was thinking the same thing when every time the temp was changed the alarm went off.
I want the low temp alarm ,high temp alarm and meat temp alarms.

Alarms have never worked on my droid UNTIL TODAY :)
Went to the store for a new spritz .bottle and decided to check my temp while in the truck. Turned it up 10 degrees and WHOAAAA got an alarm telling me the grill was preheating to that temp.
After that and during the cook my meat temps...

Seared steaks yesterday and It was at 495 when I placed them on the sear plates.
I had it set on 500 and not full but I have had no problems getting up to 500

Looking forward to the answer from people that have the BFG. Could it be the size of the grill requires more heat from the pellets so they burn faster? Maybe change the feed rate?
I use the amazn tube on my bull wen cooking above 250 and it seems to give the right amount of smoke flaor
I use Lumberjack . Great prices at Rural king 8.99 for 20 lbs bag. I buy 10 bags at a time of different types.
The problem is I use the rectec so much I may need to start buying more each time ;)
